Djembe Head for Latin Percussion FX Series PVC-djembe

Product Description

Replacement head in synthetic fibre for Latin Percussion's FX Series PVC djembe, 12.5" rope-tuned. A simple way to bring your djembe back to life when the original head is worn or damaged.

The head is made of synthetic fibre and is approximately 1 mm thick, giving a stable and even playing surface that holds up to regular playing. It's designed as a replacement head specifically for LP's FX Series PVC djembe and fits djembes with rope tuning, the traditional construction using rope around the rim instead of mechanical tension rods. According to the manufacturer, the same head construction also fits djembes with EX hoops (mechanically tuned). Check which rim type your drum has before ordering.

Replacing the head

When a djembe head has been played a lot, lost its tone, or shows visible damage, a replacement head is often the easiest way to restore both sound and feel without buying a whole new drum. Synthetic fibre is also less sensitive to weather than natural hide, making it a practical choice for players performing in varying conditions.

Included in delivery

The delivery includes one (1) replacement head for mounting on your LP FX PVC djembe.

Who It's For

Suited for anyone who already owns a Latin Percussion FX djembe with a PVC shell and needs a new head, whether for maintenance or after damage to the existing head.
