A rope-tuned djembe from Toca with a synthetic shell and goat skin head, built to handle travel and heavy use. Low-stretch Alpine rope with braided cores keeps tuning stable and delivers a rich bass tone, paired with sharp, piercing rim tones.

The djembe is tuned using the traditional rope system, giving stable tuning over time compared to simpler constructions. The rope is a low-stretch Alpine type with braided cores, which contributes to a rich bass tone, especially noticeable on the larger sizes in the series (10" and 12"). At the same time, the construction produces sharp, piercing rim tones, giving a clear contrast between bass and rim sounds when playing.

The shell is made from synthetic material, making the drum lighter and less sensitive to humidity and temperature changes than a traditional wood shell. The head is goat skin, a classic choice for djembes that gives a warm, responsive tone.
