The Toca Freestyle Rope Tuned Kente Cloth is a rope-tuned djembe with a synthetic shell and goat skin head, 7" in diameter. The low-stretch rope keeps the tuning stable through heavy playing, and the rim tones stay sharp and clearly defined.

The drum is tuned with a low-stretch Alpine rope featuring braided cores, the same rope system used across the Freestyle range. This construction produces a rich bass tone, especially noticeable in the larger 10" and 12" sizes, alongside sharp, piercing rim tones and stable tuning across all sizes.

The synthetic shell makes the drum more resistant to humidity and temperature changes than a hand-carved wood djembe, while the goat skin head preserves the traditional, warm djembe tone. The finish is a Kente Cloth pattern in Bali Red.

A solid choice if you want a djembe that holds its tuning through demanding playing, drum circles or rehearsal, without giving up the traditional sound.
