Product Description
The Toca SFDJ-12K is a rope-tuned djembe with a synthetic shell, goat skin head, and a vibrant Kente Cloth pattern. It delivers a rich, warm bass tone along with sharp, piercing rim tones, making it a great choice for practice sessions and group playing alike.
Construction and Tuning
The drum is tuned with Low Stretch Alpine rope, woven with braided cores. This rope construction ensures stable tuning over time and contributes to the rich bass tone, which is especially pronounced in the 10" and 12" sizes. The same rope construction also produces sharp, piercing rim tones when played near the edge.
Appearance
The shell is finished in the Kente Cloth pattern, a bold textile design that gives the drum a distinctive, personal look on stage or in the rehearsal room.
