Toca Freestyle Rope Tuned 9" - Bali Red
Djembe by Toca (Freestyle), 9" diameter, rope-tuned with goat skin. Alpine rope with braided cores gives stable tuning and sharp rim tones.
Product Description
The Toca Freestyle SFDJ-9RP is a rope-tuned djembe with a 9" diameter and goat skin head, built to hold its tuning stable through demanding playing. The low stretch Alpine rope with braided cores delivers both a rich bass tone and sharp, piercing rim tones.
This djembe is tuned using the traditional rope system rather than tuning bolts, giving it an organic grip and an authentic feel when playing. The rope is a Low Stretch Alpine type with braided cores, a construction chosen to produce a rich bass tone, especially noticeable on the larger 10" and 12" sizes in the same series. At the same time, the construction gives sharp, piercing rim tones and ensures stable tuning over time.
Finish
This model comes in the Bali Red finish. Height is 16.5" (42 cm) and diameter is 9".
Who It's For
A good choice if you want a djembe with traditional rope tuning and a tone with clear contrast between bass and rim tones.
