At 12", this djembe sits among the sizes that produce the richest bass in the series, alongside the 10" model. The rope is a low-stretch Alpine rope with braided cores, which keeps the head tuned more reliably than typical rope-tuned djembes while still delivering sharp, piercing rim tones on the edge strokes.

Construction

The shell is made from synthetic material, making the drum lighter and more resistant to humidity and temperature changes than a traditional wood-shell djembe. A solid choice if you want to bring it to rehearsals, gigs, or outdoor practice without worrying about the climate. The head is goatskin, the standard choice for djembes, giving a lively, natural attack.
