Product Description
The Toca Freestyle Rope Tuned African Sunset is a rope-tuned djembe with a 12" diameter, finished in the Kente Cloth pattern. Rope tuning keeps the drum stable while delivering a rich bass tone paired with sharp, piercing rim tones.
The drum is tuned with low-stretch Alpine rope featuring braided cores, a construction that produces an especially rich bass tone in the 10" and 12" sizes, alongside sharp, well-defined rim tones. Rope tuning lets you fine-tune and maintain the drum's pitch over time without needing mechanical tuning tools.
The shell is made from synthetic material and the head is goat skin, a combination that holds up better in tough environments and varying climates than a drum built entirely from natural materials.
