Product Description
The Freestyle Rope Tuned African Sunset is a rope-tuned djembe from Toca with a synthetic shell and goat skin head, built for stable tuning and a wide tonal range. The rope is low stretch Alpine rope with braided cores, giving a rich bass tone. Especially noticeable in the 10" and 12" sizes. Alongside sharp, piercing rim tones. A solid choice if you play often and don't want to retune between every session.
The braided-core Alpine rope keeps stretch to a minimum, which helps the drum hold its tuning even during heavy playing. The combination of a deep bass tone and sharp, cutting rim tones gives the drum a wide and clear tonal range that works well both in a group setting and as a solo instrument.
