Dixon PDSCL554SBM 14"x5,5" - Satin Black

Product Description

A 14"x5.5" snare drum from Dixon's Classic series, built around a maple shell for a warm, focused tone. Satin Black Lacquer, natural maple hoops and chrome hardware give it an elegant, understated look. It arrives ready to play with an Evans G1 Coated batter head.

Dixon's Classic series is built on traditional sound and feel in an elegant package. This model uses Dixon's Maple Formula Shell, and it is the maple that gives the drum its warm, focused character.

Sound and Feel

The batter side carries an Evans G1 Coated head for added control and musicality, while the resonant side uses a standard head. The slide-lever snare throw-off makes it quick and easy to move between a crisp snare sound and an open tone. The snare butt end on the fixed side is a standard unit.

Look and Finish

The Satin Black Lacquer finish is paired with natural maple hoops and chrome hardware. That combination of matte black, light wood and chrome is what gives the drum its refined, understated appearance.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want the warm, focused sound of maple in a snare drum that looks discreet but well made. A drummer's storage pouch is included in delivery.
