The Dixon Cornerstone is a snare drum with a hybrid North American Maple, Red Silkwood and Poplar shell, finished in Peacock Blue Satin. The wood blend gives a warm, focused tone with good attack, and the drum features Dixon's own Flip-Drop throw-off for quick switching between snare and off positions.

The shell combines three tonewoods for warmth and clarity, and the hoops are satin-finished maple wood hoops rather than standard metal hoops, adding to the rounder character of the sound. Hardware is chrome-plated for a clean, classic look that pairs well with the blue shell.

Construction and Sound

The batter head is an Evans Uno Coated, giving a balanced, versatile attack suited to most styles. The resonant head is a standard clear head, helping preserve sustain and open low-end resonance. The throw-off is Dixon's exclusive Flip-Drop style, letting you flip the strainer on and off quickly without multiple adjustment steps. The butt end on the fixed side is a standard type.
