Dixon Classic Steel 14"x5.5" - Chrome Plated

Product Description

The Dixon Classic Steel is a 14×5.5″ snare drum with a 1mm steel shell and chrome-plated finish. A great-value snare with a crisp, direct attack that works equally well in the rehearsal room or the studio.

The thin, rolled steel shell gives this snare the tight, slightly bright character typical of steel snares: plenty of attack and a clear snare buzz that cuts through a mix. The hoops are Dixon's Steel Power Hoop, contributing to solid tuning stability and a firm rim response. The batter head is an Evans G1 Coated, a reliable all-round head with good response and natural overtone control, while the resonant side uses a standard head.

The snare throw-off is a slide-lever style unit, making it quick and easy to engage or disengage the snare wires mid-song. The butt end is a standard unit. All hardware, including the lugs and hoops, is finished in chrome to match the shell.

A Drummer's Pouch is included free of charge for storage and easy transport.
