Feel and Sound

The short tear drop tip has a small surface area, giving a brighter, more clearly defined tone on cymbals compared to tips with a larger surface area – strokes come through clearly without sounding dark or diffuse. The medium taper balances the butt and the tip, giving fast response along with enough power for harder playing, without feeling back-heavy or overly stiff.

Construction

The shaft is made from hickory, a wood that withstands hard playing while still providing good rebound. The surface has a paint coating for a more secure grip over time. The stick comes with a wood tip as specified, but is also available with a nylon tip for an even more distinct cymbal attack.
