Danmar UFO Skate Beater - Plastic
Bass drum beater made from a skateboard wheel. Fast attack, sharp click and added volume. Made in USA.
Product Description
The Danmar UFO Skate Beater is a bass drum beater with a head made from a plastic skateboard wheel. It delivers a fast attack with a sharp click and a bit of extra volume in the bass drum sound. The beater is made in the USA.
The skateboard wheel head gives a different character than a traditional felt or wood beater: a sharper, more percussive attack with a distinct click that cuts through in the mix, along with a slight boost in volume. That makes it a great option when you want a more defined, punchy bass drum attack.
Danmar Percussion was founded by Frank DeVito in 1970, after playing with artists including Frank Sinatra, Elvis, the Beach Boys, Sonny & Cher and The Monkees. Finding that many commercially made drum accessories didn't hold up, he began developing his own. Laying the foundation for Danmar. Today, Danmar's beaters and kick pads are still made in the USA and used by professional drummers worldwide.
