Cool Rods are rods made from high-quality birch dowels, built for acoustic gigs in smaller venues. They sit in between sticks and brushes in volume – quieter than regular sticks but with more attack and rebound than brushes.
Rods are a smart choice when sticks are simply too loud for the room but brushes feel too soft for the music. Cool Rods are made up of several thin birch dowels bundled together, giving a spread-out, airy sound with clear attack without high volume. The handle is birch and the tip is wood, so the rods feel consistent and natural in the hand.
