Product Description
The Contemporanea Surdo 16" x 50 cm is a samba drum built in aluminium with a plastic head, made slightly shallower than standard models. That makes it lighter and easier to march with, without losing the big, distinct sound a surdo should have.
The aluminium shell delivers a clear, powerful tone with good projection, and the lighter build is noticeable right away when the drum needs to hang from your shoulder for a long set. The plastic head is durable and needs less maintenance than a natural skin, making this surdo a practical choice both in the rehearsal room and out on the street.
A tuning key is included, so the drum is ready to tune and play straight out of the box.
