The tamborim is a small handdrum that provides the high, cutting voice of a batucada. It carries clearly through the ensemble thanks to its sharp, bright sound. The CL-TAF01 features a plastic frame and a durable, tunable nylon head, letting you adjust the tone to suit the setting.
The head is held in place by 6 hooks, and the instrument can be played in several ways: with the hand, with a stick or with nylon beaters. Special playing techniques make it possible to play fast, driving rhythms. A key part of the tamborim's role in Brazilian percussion.
