Latin percussion Matador M754S-RW 12 1/2" - Red Wood

Product Description

The Matador M754S-RW is a 12 1/2" tumba (the smaller conga in the family) from Latin Percussion, built for a warm, full tone with clear attack. The 3-ply Siam oak shell and natural rawhide head deliver a classic acoustic conga sound suited to Latin percussionists and drummers looking to expand their setup.

The Matador series is known for its Soft Strike hoops (Comfort Curve I), designed for comfortable hand playing without sacrificing tuning stability. Matador side plates and Gold Tone hardware finish give the drum a distinctive look and feel.

Construction

The shell is built from three plies of Siam Oak, a dense, resonant tonewood. The head is natural rawhide, giving the drum the warm, organic tone traditionally associated with congas. Tuning lugs are 5/16", and the Matador Soft Strike hoops (Comfort Curve I) are shaped to be gentle on the hands during extended playing.

Protection and finish

The drum ships with LP ProCare Shell Protectors, guarding the shell edge against wear and knocks during transport and use. The finish is Red Wood, paired with Gold Tone hardware for a cohesive look.
