Meinl Percussion Marathon Classic MCC1212SNT-M 12 1/2" - Supernatural (natural)
Marathon Classic conga in tumba size with Steely II stand, Supernatural finish and True Skin Buffalo replacement head for serious conga playing.
Product Description
The Meinl Marathon Classic MCC1212SNT-M is a 12 1/2" conga (tumba) from the Marathon Classic series, built for serious conga playing at a great price. The shell is made from two layers of rubberwood with a Supernatural finish, and the Steely II stand is included right out of the box.
Marathon Congas set the standard in their price range. Head and hardware quality are professional grade, and the professional sizing makes the MCC series well suited for serious playing, whether you practice at home or perform with a band.
Construction
The shell is built from two layers of rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.-Arg.) with a natural Supernatural finish. The conga rims are 2.6 mm SSR steel, and the replacement head is a True Skin Buffalo (TS-B-40) skin, known for its warm, authentic tone.
Included in delivery
The conga comes with a Steely II stand, Conga Saver (protective cover), tuning key and Tune Up Oil for head maintenance.
Combine and complement
The conga can be combined with the MCC11SNT-M and MCC1134SNT-M to build a full conga setup. For transport protection, the Professional Conga Bag MCOB-11 or the simpler Conga Gigbag MSTCOB are good options.
