The Classics Custom Dark Expand Cymbal Set (CCD-ES1) is a complete cymbal package from Meinl featuring eight cymbals from the dark, heat-treated Dark series. You get a full base set plus two bonus cymbals included, all sharing the same dark look and matching sound. What's Included

The base set includes a 14" Dark Hi-hat, 16" Dark Crash, 16" Dark Trash Crash, 18" Dark China, 18" Dark Crash and 20" Dark Ride. As a bonus, the set also ships with a 10" Dark Splash and a 12" Dark Trash Splash – eight cymbals in total.

Sound and Construction

Meinl Classics Dark cymbals are made from B10 alloy (90% copper, 10% tin) and undergo a special heat treatment that unlocks the alloy's wide sound spectrum while giving the cymbals their distinctive dark appearance. The treatment delivers fast attack with a bright tone seasoned with a dark low end and a medium-high pitch. Sustain sits at medium with a clear sparkle, and volume is medium with a brilliant shimmer on top. The extra hammering contributes to a full low end and a warmth normally found only in pricier series.
