Classic Rock Grooves

Product Description

Classic Rock Grooves is a MIDI pack from Toontrack featuring drum grooves and fills inspired by 1970s classic rock. It delivers hand-played grooves in the vein of Whitesnake, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, ready to drop straight into your writing.

In the 1970s, acts like Whitesnake, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin paved the way for a new breed of loud, beat-driven rock, and drummers such as John Bonham, Ian Paice, Keith Moon and Bill Ward made the drums one of the pivot points the sound was built around. Classic Rock Grooves was captured with that spirit as its foundation: big, bold mid-tempos, doom-ridden slow songs, hammering up-tempos, and a generous, larger-than-life supply of fills.

Content and performance data

The pack contains a total of 319 individually played files, performed by a professional session drummer. All grooves are in 4/4 with a straight feel, at tempos ranging from 78 to 170 BPM. The files are categorized by song structure. Intro, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge and fills. Making it easy to find the right groove for the right part of the song.

Compatibility

Classic Rock Grooves works with EZdrummer, EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3, and is optimized for a kit of 1 kick, 1 snare, 1 tom, 1 floor tom, 2 crash cymbals and 1 ride cymbal.

Who It's For

A great choice if you're writing or producing classic rock and want authentic, hand-played grooves instead of programmed loops. Also works well as inspiration or a starting point when building your own arrangements in the style.
