ProMark Classic 2B Hickory - ActiveGrip Clear

Product Description

The Classic 2B Hickory ActiveGrip Clear is a pair of hickory drumsticks from ProMark, finished with ActiveGrip Clear coating that gives you a secure grip even when your hands get sweaty. The coating activates with heat without changing the feel of the stick.

• ActiveGrip Clear activates with heat and hand sweat. The more you sweat, the better the grip
• Applied in a thin layer that doesn't affect feel the way gloves, grip tape or rubberized grips can
• Pitch-matched pairs with a tolerance of max 6 Hz, roughly a quarter tone
• Weight-matched pairs with a tolerance of max 1.5 grams

A grip you can rely on all night

Many drummers know the problem: grip on the stick gets harder to maintain once your hands get wet, which can limit technique or, in the worst case, cause the stick to slip out of your hand. ActiveGrip Clear is applied in a thin layer and is barely noticeable until you need it most, when the stage lights and the last song of the set have brought out the last drops of sweat. That's when the coating activates, giving you a relaxed, secure grip without having to think about it.

ActiveGrip Clear is available in both the Classic Hickory series (this product) and the Select Balance family.

Matching and manufacturing

ProMark checks every pair for both weight and pitch before it leaves the factory. Pitch-matching tolerance is a maximum of 6 Hz, roughly a quarter tone, which is essential for even-sounding rolls. The weight difference between the two sticks in a pair never exceeds 1.5 grams.

ProMark runs its own sawmill and controls the entire production chain, from timber to finished stick. Through its Plant Preserv 5-1 program, five new trees are planted for every tree that is felled.
