Product Description

A bongo pair crafted from Siam oak with handselected natural rawhide, built for a warm, distinct tone. The 7 1/4" and 8 5/8" sizes give a classic pair with clear contrast between high and low pitch, finished with gold-tone hardware for a traditional look.

The shells are made from Siam oak, a dense and stable wood that gives the bongos a warm fundamental tone with good projection. The heads are handselected natural rawhide, meaning each pair is chosen for even response and natural tone, noticeably different from synthetic heads.

Construction

The hoops are traditional rims, and the tuning lugs use a 5/16" thread, making tuning and maintenance straightforward with a standard drum key. The bongo bottom is aluminium casting, which adds stability and an open, defined low end. The hardware has a gold-tone finish, while the shell itself has a natural finish that highlights the wood grain.
