Product Description
Hand-picked bongo head in untanned buffalo hide from Latin Percussion, made to fit all LP Traditional and X Series bongo rims in the corresponding size. Each head is carefully selected for consistent quality and delivers a warm, clear bongo tone.
Every head is hand-picked to ensure even, premium quality before mounting. The material is untanned buffalo hide, approximately 1 mm thick, with a head height of approximately 30 mm when new.
Fit and Sizing
The hoop determines the outer diameter of the head, while the stated size refers to the head's crown diameter at the bearing edge. LP bongo heads have the same crown diameter regardless of hoop type. The stated head sizes are matched to the effective crown diameter, the largest shell diameter of bongos and djembes, to harmonize the sizes with REMO and LP conga heads. For LP bongos with a shell size of 5 1/2", 7 1/4", or 8 5/8", please use heads in size 5 1/4", 7", or 8.5" respectively.
