ProMark Bill Bruford Maple Signature

Product Description

Bill Bruford Maple Signature is ProMark's signature stick for drummer Bill Bruford, made from maple with a wood barrel tip. At 403mm x 13.5mm (15 7/8" x .531"), and with maple's natural rebound, it's an ideal ride stick for lower-volume settings.

Bill Bruford served as drummer for Phil Collins in Genesis shortly after leaving Yes. Phil Collins admired Bruford's spirit of experimentation, something Bruford has continued in his own band Earthworks, blending jazz, rock, fusion and other styles.

Construction and Feel

The stick is made from maple with a thickness in between a 7A and a 5A, giving a stick that feels neither too thin nor too thick in the hand. The relatively small wood barrel tip provides a clear, well-defined attack on cymbals and drumheads, while maple's rebound gives the stick a light, responsive feel.

Who It's For

A good choice if you play in settings that call for dynamic control, from jazz and fusion to lighter rock passages, and want a ride stick that performs well even when you need to keep the volume down.
