Product Description

Big Stage EZX is a sound expansion for Toontrack's EZbass, capturing the classic electric bass tone of the early 1960s. The bass is a meticulously captured violin-style electric bass, strung with classic flatwound strings, delivering a tubby, dark and earthy thud alongside a sharper, more distinct tone.

The bass was captured using two distinctly different playing styles: a classic finger technique and a palm-muted style played with a pick. This gives you two contrasting takes on the same instrument, covering a tonal range from the traditionally thud-like to the sharp and zingy. The tonal range spans from D1 to E4.

Beyond the bass tone itself, this expansion includes a wide range of presets covering a broad palette of tones inspired by the era, along with a custom MIDI library of basslines tailored for the instrument and the time period.
