Big Fat Snare Drum Donut XL 18"
Big Fat Snare Drum Donut XL 18'' is a rubber and plastic damper placed on top of the head for a deep, warm 1970s tone.
Product Description
Donut XL 18'' from Big Fat Snare Drum is a damper that is placed on top of an existing snare or tom head. It cuts away overtone and tightens up the sound, giving you a thumping, vintage-inspired feel without retuning or swapping drums.
Sound
Donut XL gives a powerful, thumping feel that is the signature of Big Fat Snare Drum. The tone becomes deep and warm with an authentic 1970s character, while the drum's fundamental pitch is lowered without any hassle.
Construction
In the middle of the damper there is a large circular hole that still lets you reach the head's striking surface. The rubberised gasket gives weight, balance and stability once it's in place, and a thumb hole lets you remove it quickly again.
Fits
Donut XL works with several different types of hoops, including Triple Flanged Hoops, Die Cast Hoops, Single Flanged, DW True Hoops, Stick Saver Hoops, Wood Hoops, S-Hoops and Vintage Hoops.
