Big Fat Snare Drum Donut XL 16"
Big Fat Snare Drum 16'' Donut XL is a rubber and plastic damper that sits on top of the snare or tom head.
Product Description
Big Fat Snare Drum 16'' Donut XL is a damper placed on top of your existing snare or tom head. It cuts overtones and tightens the sound with the feel of your own head, without you having to retune the drum or bring extra drums.
Function
A large hole in the middle leaves room for the attack of the snare or tom head, while a rubber gasket gives weight, balance and stability when it lies on the head. It has a thumb grip for quick removal, and fits Triple Flanged Hoops, Die Cast Hoops, Single Flanged, DW True Hoops, Stick Saver Hoops, Wood Hoops, S-Hoops and Vintage Hoops.
Sound and Feel
The result is a genuine, deep and warm tone with a vintage, powerful, bass-heavy feel reminiscent of the 1970s. The damping works on the same principle drummers have long used to tame overtones from the head.
