The Big Fat Snare Drum Original Lite sits directly on top of your existing snare or tom head and instantly lowers the drum's fundamental pitch for a warm, vintage 70's tone. It's thinner and snappier than the original BFSD, but keeps that same fat character – with no retuning and no need to bring extra drums.

Built from a custom blend of patented rubber and plastic, it face-lifts medium to high-pitched tuned drums into that sought-after, authentic, deep and warm tone drummers know and love.

Build and Handling

A thumb cut-out lets you remove it quickly between songs or sessions, and a rubberized gasket adds weight, balance and stability once it's in place. It's designed purely for convenience – get the signature sound without any hassle.
