Big Fat Snare Drum Donut 12"
Big Fat Snare Drum Donut 12'' is a dampener made of rubber and plastic that sits on top of the head to lower the fundamental pitch. Fits most hoops.
Product Description
The Donut 12'' from Big Fat Snare Drum is a dampener that sits on top of your existing snare or tom head to give a deeper, warmer tone without retuning. The centre circle is cut out so the batter head's attack still comes through.
Function
The Donut sits directly on top of your own head and lowers the drum's pitch without you having to retune. The rubber gasket gives it weight, balance and stability on the head, and a cut-out thumb grip lets you lift it off quickly again between songs or sets.
Sound
The tone is medium beefy and dark, with the feel of your own batter head rather than an added effect. It's a deep and warm tone, with a vintage, bass-heavy feel reminiscent of 1970s drum sounds.
Fits
The Donut 12'' works on hoops of the type Triple Flanged Hoops, Die Cast Hoops, Single Flanged, DW True Hoops, Stick Saver Hoops, Wood Hoops, S-Hoops and Vintage Hoops.
