Product Description
The Benny Greb Sand Hi-hat Tambourine from Meinl is a signature model featuring sand blasted brass jingles that produce a dry, vintage sound with a distinctive matte look. It works equally well mounted on a hi-hat rod or placed directly on a cymbal.
True to his signature cymbals, this tambourine uses specially treated jingles to create its character. The eight pairs of brass jingles have sand blasted surfaces that produce a mellow yet edged "ching" effect, adding lift to any groove without overpowering it.
Slide it onto a hi-hat rod above the cymbals, or set it directly on top of a cymbal for a slightly different flavour of the same sound. A simple way to widen your hi-hat sound without swapping the whole setup.
