Meinl Percussion Bendir 16"
Traditional frame drum with nylon snare strings for a warm, lively tone. 16".
Product Description
The Bendir is a traditional frame drum from Meinl Percussion, 16" in diameter, fitted with nylon snare strings that give the instrument its characteristic, lively tone. A simple, direct build for players who want an authentic frame drum rooted in Middle Eastern percussion.
The nylon snare strings rest against the head and create the characteristic buzz typical of the bendir and similar frame drums, alongside an open, resonant fundamental tone. The model is available in a traditional build, as well as a Deep Shell version fitted with a True Synthetic Feel Head. A synthetic head designed to replicate the feel of a natural head, with improved stability against moisture and temperature changes.
Who It's For
A good choice for percussionists and drummers looking to expand their sonic palette with a hand-played acoustic instrument. In the studio, on stage, or in the practice room.
