Product Description
The Power Disc Kick Pad #210 DK from Danmar Percussion is a self-adhesive beater pad for double pedal use, made in the USA since 1970. A hard disc built into the pad adds extra punch to the bass drum sound and extends the head's lifespan.
The pad sticks directly onto the batter head where the beater strikes, taking the brunt of the wear so the head lasts longer while giving the kick a clearer, more defined attack. Since it's designed for double pedal use, it's a good fit for players who log a lot of double bass playing and want to avoid replacing heads more often than necessary.
The pad is available in four designs: Skulls (felt-covered), Flames, Stars, and Crosses (the latter three with a thin fabric layer on top). The images below show each design.
