Product Description
The Gibraltar SC-3261 is a felt beater – one of the most widely used beater types out there. Felt gives a fuller, warmer attack than plastic or wood, while still keeping the strike clear and defined. That makes it a safe first choice whether you play rock, pop, jazz, or anything in between.
The stem measures 6" and the beater is rated as medium impact, giving a balanced strike that works well on most bass drum heads – not too soft, not too hard. It's a reliable starting point if you're not yet sure exactly what character you're after, or a handy spare for your pedal.
Works especially well if you want a standard sound that holds up in the rehearsal room, on stage, and in the studio without needing to experiment. If you're after a harder attack or more click in the sound, this isn't the beater for it – a plastic or wood beater would suit that better.
