Valter Percussion Basic Box
Cajon from Valter Percussion, Basic Box, designed in Sweden. Measures 47x30x29cm in birch plywood with vSNARE snare wires.
Product Description
Basic Box is a cajon from Valter Percussion, designed in Sweden. It is built in birch plywood and fitted with a vSNARE snare system with 2 strands.
Construction
The cajon measures 47x30x29cm and the shell is built in 9mm birch plywood. The front is 3mm birch plywood and the back is 4mm birch plywood. It has a nicely rounded grip when carrying it.
Snare Wires
The snare effect comes from a vSNARE system with 2 strands. It is adjusted with an Allen screw on the underside of the cajon. This gives a nice, snappy snare effect when you play.
Sound
A Cajon Damper Pad controls sustain and reduces mid-frequency overtones in the sound. A Bass Projection Ring reinforces the sound hole for more power and depth in the bass tone. Together this gives good punch in the bass and distinct slap sounds.
