Ahead Switch Stix 5A w/Mallet

Product Description

The Ahead Switch Stix 5A is a standard 5A drumstick with a Medium felt mallet head permanently mounted on the butt end. Simply rotate the stick during play to switch to a mallet that delivers a warmer, bigger cymbal sound, without ever putting the stick down.

• All-new Hyper-Form Engineered swaging process for a longer lifespan
• 50% less shock than wood drumsticks
• Lasts 6 to 10 times longer than wood mallets
• High-precision alloy core with less than 1% variation in weight and balance
• Replaceable covers, blend rings and tips
• Built-in Vibration Control System (VRS)

The high-grade wool mallet head is permanently attached, and inside it sits an unbreakable nylon mallet insert that gives a more articulate mallet sound. The super-hard polyurethane covers protect both your sticks and your gear, and can be replaced separately as they wear. The handles are ergonomically tuned for a secure grip through long sets.

Who It's For

A smart choice for drummers and percussionists who want to switch quickly between stick playing and mallet cymbal swells, for example on overhead crescendos or soft gong textures, without ever setting the stick down.
