The Ahead Pro Kick Bass Drum Damper is a gel damping system designed specifically for bass drums. The pads are quick to apply and won't restrict airflow inside the shell, giving you fully natural sustain with a tight, controlled low end that lets your bass drum perform at its best.
- Supplied as a 4-pack of self-adhesive, transparent gel damper pads
- Apply to the batter head, the resonant head, or both
- One smooth side and one ribbed side give different damping effects depending on head type
- Washable and reusable - rinse with warm water to restore tackiness
Choosing a side
The smooth side is generally recommended for smooth or frosted heads. The ribbed side works well on certain smooth heads too and can give a different damping character if you want to experiment with your sound.
