Ahead 5A w/ Heavy Felt Mallets

Product Description

The Ahead 5A w/ Heavy Felt Mallets combines a 5A drumstick with a hard felt mallet end in a single tool, letting you switch between stick and mallet playing without putting anything down. The mallet end is replaceable and made from high grade wool, so it lasts significantly longer than a standard wood mallet.

• Replaceable high grade wool mallet end
• 50% less shock than wood drumsticks
• Lasts 6 to 10 times longer than wood mallets
• Replaceable covers, blend rings, mallet ends and tips
• Ergonomically tuned handles
• Built-in Vibration Control System (VRS)

Construction

The stick is built using Ahead's Hyper-Form Engineered swaging process for a longer life span. A high precision alloy core keeps balance consistent between sticks, with variations of less than 1%. The mallet end's insert is a highly durable nylon that provides a more articulate sound, while the super-hard polyurethane replaceable cover protects both the stick and your gear from wear.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want one tool that handles both stick and mallet playing without switching mid-song, and that's gentler on your hands and your heads than a standard wood mallet.
