Ultra-light suspension mount in aircraft aluminum, 60% lighter than steel. Fits 90% of mounting brackets.
Product Description
The Ahead 14" 8-Hole Alloy Suspension Mounting System is a floating tom mount that frees the drum from its standard hardware mounting, letting it resonate more openly. Built from high-strength aircraft aluminum, it's a full 60% lighter than a comparable steel mounting system.
- Chrome-plated, high-strength aircraft aluminum
- Ultra lightweight. 60% lighter than steel
- Universal face plate that fits approximately 90% of mounting brackets
- 3 fixed grommets that reverse for left- or right-side mounted toms
By reducing the contact between shell and stand, the floating mount lets the drum resonate more freely than a rigidly mounted tom. The universal face plate means the system works with most hanging toms on the market, and the reversible grommets make it easy to fit regardless of which side the tom hangs on.
