Product Description
The Afroton Colanut Footrattle is a foot rattle made from colanut shells attached to a braided cord of natural fibres. It produces a clear, bright, dynamic sound and can be shaken or tapped rhythmically. Ideal for dancers and drummers looking to add an extra rhythmic layer.
The rattle measures approximately 60 cm in total length, with the segment holding the nuts (24 colanut shells) measuring approximately 45 cm. The sound is crisp and responsive, varying naturally with the speed and force of movement. Equally useful for dance and for drumming accompaniment.
Handcrafted in Cameroon from natural materials, giving it the organic character typical of instruments made this way.
