Handmade African Djembe in solid mahogany with goat skin and traditional rope tuning. Comes with a heavy-duty djembe bag.
Product Description
The Meinl African Djembe is a hand-built djembe made from solid mahogany with a goat skin head and traditional rope tuning, crafted in the Water Rhythm Series design. The shell is genuinely hand-worked, with top-quality skin, rope and woodwork. Tradition and craftsmanship in perfect harmony. The drum comes with a heavy-duty Professional Djembe Bag for easy storage and transport.
Construction and Materials
The djembe is made from solid, plantation-grown mahogany and fitted with a goat skin head. Tuning is done traditionally with rope, allowing you to gradually tighten the head to achieve your desired tone. The model is part of Meinl's Rope Tune Wood Djembe series, where every shell is hand-worked.
Sizes in the Series
The African Djembe is available in three sizes: XL (diameter 12.75-13.75", height 25"), Large (diameter 10.75-12.25", height 24") and Medium (diameter 9.25-10.25", height 20"). This product is the Large size.
Who It's For
A great choice if you want an authentically built djembe with traditional rope tuning, whether for practicing at home, in the rehearsal room or on stage.
