Meinl Percussion Artisan Edition Vidalite Line 17 3/4"x10"x12 1/2" - Satin
Hand-crafted slaptop cajon in birch with a Palo Santo playing surface, upright design and crisp snare tone.
Product Description
The Meinl Artisan Edition Slaptop Cajon Vidalite Line is hand-built in Spain for players who want both deep bass and a distinct snare tone. The enlarged 6-ply Baltic Birch body with an upward-facing front port deepens bass notes, while the Palo Santo playing surface delivers crisp snare and slap tones.
The cajon is equipped with eight pre-tuned, custom micro-coiled steel cajon strings that span the interior of the playing surface for a sensitive snare effect. The unique shape of Meinl Slaptop Cajons brings the striking surface nearer to the player for an upright playing position with forward-facing sound projection.
Construction and materials
The frontplate is made from Palo Santo (bursera graveolens), known for its striking grain and distinctive tone. The resonating body is built from 6 mm birch plywood, finished in Satin for an elegant look that matches its sound.
Who It's For
A great choice for players looking for a top-tier cajon with a responsive snare effect and a playing position that feels close and natural.
