The Gibraltar GDS-5 is an acrylic drum shield that puts you in control of your drum sound. Ideal for studio recording or live gigs. Its five-panel design helps contain the drums and deliver a cleaner, balanced presence without overwhelming the mix.

A drum shield is a valuable tool when you want your acoustic drums to sound clear and controlled, without bleeding into other microphones or overpowering the mix. The GDS-5 collects and contains the drum sound, giving the engineer a cleaner canvas for the rest of the band.

Practical, user-friendly design

The shield comprises five transparent acrylic panels, each approximately 167 cm high and 60 cm wide, with an acrylic thickness of approximately 5 mm. The panels are connected by hinges so the shield can be folded up for easy storage or transport. No assembly is needed. Simply unfold and position around your kit. The end panels feature mouse-holes for mic and cable routing.
