8" Evans UV1 - Coated

Product Description

The Evans UV1 Coated is a single-ply 8" tom head with a patented UV-processed coating that makes it one of the most durable single-ply heads on the market. Its fine-grained surface, combined with the 10 mil thick film, delivers a dynamic sound with a bright top end and full bottom. It works well across a wide range of musical settings thanks to its broad tonal palette.

• Patented UV-processed coating for consistent, high quality
• Single-ply head built from a durable 10 mil film
• Dynamic, open tone with a clear top end and warm bottom
• Extra durability
• Level 360 profile for great fit and easy tuning

Tone and playing feel

Played softly off-center, the UV1 produces attractive overtones with a clear identity. Played harder, the sound rounds off and the attack starts to resemble a two-ply head. Tuned low, the head has a softer attack with good bottom end. Tuned high, the sound becomes tighter with a firm attack and a full core.

Construction

The head is built on Evans' Level 360 technology, giving a better fit against the counter hoop, a wide tuning range, and easier tuning overall.
