8" Aquarian Performance II - Coated
Fat sound with tons of punch. For low tuning and that classic rock drum sound.
Product Description
The Aquarian Performance II Coated is a two-ply, 8" tom head built for players who tune low and want a fat, powerful sound with plenty of punch. It delivers a classic rock character that can make even a small, budget kit sound big and powerful.
The head is manufactured using Aquarian's Vacuum Tuned Process, which eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles between the two plies during production, resulting in an even, consistent surface.
Construction and Sound
Performance II consists of two 7 mil plies that are sealed only at the edges. This allows the two layers to move independently of each other, which tames unwanted overtones and puts the focus on the low frequencies. The head is designed for low tuning, where it delivers its fattest possible sound with plenty of punch. The exact tone associated with classic rock records.
Who It's For
A great choice for players who like to tune their toms low and want a thick, powerful sound rather than a bright, open tone. Works just as well as an upgrade on a budget kit as on a more advanced set that needs to sound bigger than it is.
