8" Paiste Formula 602 Modern Essentials Splash Cymbal

Product Description

The Formula 602 Modern Essentials Splash 8" is a hand-crafted cymbal from Paiste, developed together with Vinnie Colaiuta as a modern take on the classic 602 series. It delivers a musical, deep, dark sound with strong dynamic range, suited for both studio and live use across most musical genres.

Sound Character

The cymbal is thin and has a washy attack with a low to medium loud volume, making it easy to blend without overpowering the mix. The tone is full and warm, with an integrated bell that adds extra character to the attack. Intensity is lively, so it responds clearly even at soft strokes.

Construction

Formula 602 Modern Essentials is made from CuSn20 (602 bronze) and hand-crafted for an even, nuanced sound. The series is the result of a collaboration between Paiste and Vinnie Colaiuta, aiming to combine classic 602 character with modern versatility.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a dynamic, dark and musical accent splash for recording and live playing across varied genres.
