8" Aquarian Focus-X - Coated
Single-ply 8" tom head, 10 mil, with a vented ring muffling system that removes overtones. Fat tone, no extra muffling needed.
Product Description
The Aquarian Focus-X Coated is an 8" tom head with a built-in, vented muffling ring hidden in the underside rim area. It removes unwanted overtones right at the source, so you don't need tape or muffling rings on top, and you get a fat, controlled tone.
The head is single-ply, 10 mil (Coated), and the vented ring sits around the edge under the head rather than in the center. This gives toms a fat tone without losing bottom end, while snare drums get a sensitive, articulate response so you can hear clearly what's being played without the sound getting out of control.
Because the muffling is built in, no extra dampening is needed on top. That makes the head practical for close-miking, both live and in the studio, where a stable, controlled sound without extra adjustment is an advantage.
Also available as Coated Reverse Power Dot if you want even more focus in the tone.
