8" Evans Genera HD Dry - Coated
Coated dampened Evans drumhead with Dry Vents and Level 360 profile for full, controlled tone.
Product Description
The Evans Genera HD Dry (HDD) is a dampened, coated drumhead for tom use, built for players who want a full tone without unwanted overtones. Thanks to the Dry Vents along the edge and the built-in damping, you get a balanced sound right away, whether you're after a fat ballad snare tone or an aggressive metal attack.
The head is built from two plies: a 7.5 mil inner ply and a 5 mil outer ply. On the underside sits a 2 mil damping ring bonded to the head, along with small precision-drilled holes (Dry Vents) along the edge. Together these give a full tone, reduce overtones, and add flexibility and balance to the head.
Genera HDD features Evans' Level 360 collar, which makes the head significantly easier to tune than conventional heads. When mounted, it sits flat against the drum shell and delivers a full sound right from the start, without the usual break-in period.
