Product Description
The Remo Controlled Sound 8" is a single-ply drum head made from 10-mil Mylar with an added 5-mil reinforcement dot on top – a classic choice for rock sound since the 80s. The reinforcement dot adds extra durability and gives the head a more focused, controlled attack.
The single-ply 10-mil Mylar construction gives medium-high sensitivity and good response, while the reinforcement dot in the centre dampens overtones for a tighter, more focused sound than a standard single-ply head. That makes it a good middle ground if you want more control and attack without going all the way to a double-ply head.
