Sound Character

Byzance Traditional delivers a warm, full tone with great dynamic range, letting you control tone and volume through your touch. The whole Byzance line is known for splashes with the short, cracking sound that classic splashes should have. Sustain is controlled without feeling cut short.

Craftsmanship

Byzance cymbals are made in Meinl's Turkish factory using traditional handcraft methods. Each cymbal is cast from B20 alloy, heated, rolled and cooled according to a carefully tested schedule until the correct thickness is reached. The bell is shaped and the cymbal is hand-hammered, and lathed series. Like this one. Are hand-lathed before being sent to Germany for quality control, sorting and finishing. It is the combination of Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control that gives Byzance its warm sound and consistent standard.

Who It's For

A great choice for players working across genres who want a splash with real character, without it sounding too short or thin.
