• Brilliant finish with hand-lathed top and bottom
• Warm sound character with medium sustain and volume
• Wide sound spectrum suited to pop, rock, funk, drum'n'bass and fusion

Your playing dynamics shape the tone and volume, making this splash expressive and easy to control across musical styles.

Craftsmanship

Byzance cymbals are made at Meinl's Turkish factory using traditional craftsmanship. Each cymbal is cast from the B20 alloy, then heated, rolled and cooled following a carefully proven process until the correct thickness is reached. The bell is shaped and the cymbal is hand-hammered to form its final shape, before the surface is hand-lathed. The raw cymbals are then sent to Meinl's German factory for quality control, sorting and finishing, such as laser logo, Brilliant polishing and sandblasting. This combination of Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control is key to Byzance's warm sound and consistent standard.

Who It's For

The Byzance line comes in six variants. Traditional, Vintage, Jazz, Extra Dry, Dark and Brilliant. Each with its own sound and look. The Brilliant version suits players who want a bright, polished splash with a warm core tone for pop, rock, funk and other genres where cutting through the mix matters without losing musicality.
